24: An Insight To Jack Bauer's Violence

Of Course there is!  The show began shortly after the horrific events of 9/11, where terrorists attacked the World Trade Center in New York City.  The show can almost be seen as a response to the terrorist threat.  Many people were afraid of the idea of terrorists attacking the United States, and the show demonstrates that people can stand up to the threats of violence. People enjoy seeing Jack Bauer brutally defeat terrorists because it gave them comfort knowing that someone, though fictional, can take out the terrorist threat.  The show creates a lot of patriotism in the United States, because Bauer stands up for his country and its people, and others saw this as admirable.
