How Does Society See Jack Bauer?

Well if you google Jack Bauer, every single picture of him is him holding a gun and looking like a hard-boiled detective.  He is the depiction of violence and masculinity.  In other words, Jack Bauer is a modern day Chuck Norris.  He fights the people who modern day society view as potential threats.  These criminals are usually represented as Russians, Hispanics, and Middle Eastern.  American society has a history of confrontations with all three of these ethnicities, thus making them perfect targets for Jack Bauer to fight against.  The show and Jack Bauer have even made it into a popular Comedy Central cartoon: South Park.  South Park decided to use the premise of 24 for one of their episodes and called it "The Snuke."  The basic plot line of this episode is that there is a nuclear threat against America and Eric Cartman is forced to prevent it.  Click on the following link to view this episode and compare it to the episodes of 24.  Be advised that South Park is extremely vulgar and viewer discretion is highly advised.
